Leylandii [2001 Green] 350-400cm (11’6″-13’0″)

These are Leylandii 2001 hedging plants in 70 litre pots. They have been grown on our nursery in Somerset so are British-grown. They are currently between 3.5m and4m tall.

We have a minimum order of 2 plants, as the delivery charge does not cover the full cost of the delivery.

70 litre pots are approx 60cm wide by 40cm deep. We recommend a minimum hole size of 90cm wide (square) by 42cm deep.

To create a hedge, we recommend that you plant Leylandii 2001 between 60 and 100cm apart (2-3ft) depending how quick you want the hedge to form into a dense screen.  If you want a quicker screen, plant at 60cm (2ft) apart or if you are willing to wait a bit longer for the hedge to form or are going to grow them over 5m (15ft) tall, plant at 75cm or 100cm apart (approx 2ft 6in to 3ft). Delivery usually within 1-7 working days depending on how busy our van is and where you are located.

Please note: we measure height from the top of the rootball to the top of the plant. Heights quoted will be the height of the plants on delivery. The eventual height of the hedge will depend on pruning.

Prices are per plant and include VAT but not delivery.

What is Leylandii 2001?

Leylandii 2001 is a cultivar (variety) of the fast-growing Leyland Cypress tree and was introduced in 2001. It is similar to the traditional form of Leylandii in that it has dark green foliage (leaves) and grows quickly at a rate of up to 1 metre (3ft) per year. It has a slightly different habit of growth to the traditional Leylandii cultivar with the branches growing at more of an upward angle – the branches of traditional Green Leylandii tend to grow out horizontally. This often gives it a more “bushy” appearance when younger. Both Leylandii 2001 and traditional Leylandii cultivars will form a dense, evergreen hedge quickly and most people would be unable to tell the difference between the two cultivars once the hedge is established.
