Mixed Native Hedging Trough 150-165cm (5’0″-5’6″)

Mixed Native Hedging Troughs. These are a 1 metre length of instant hedging and are currently approx between 5ft and 5ft 6in tall from the top of the rootball to the top of the hedge. They are a mixture of Hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna), Field Maple (Acer campestre) and Hazel (Corylus avellana) but may also have some Spindle (Euonymus europaeus), Dogwood (Cornus alba) or Goat Willow (Salix caprea).

Just dig a trench about 45-60cm wide and 30-35cm deep, cut off or take off the trough bag and drop the one metre long instant hedge into place.  Fill back in with soil and firm with your heel.  The trough size (i.e. the size of the rootball) is 1 metre long by approximately 30cm deep and 30 wide.

These hedging troughs are 90 litre instant hedging troughs which are 100cm long x 30cm deep by 30cm wide

These hedging troughs have been trimmed to form a hedge and are ready to plant out now. We recommend planting 1 trough per metre (3’3″) for an instant hedge.  We recommend planting the trough as a whole. We do not recommend splitting the individual plants in the trough and planting them separately.

Please note that as hawthorn, hazel and field maple are deciduous and not evergreen.
