Griselinia littoralis 140-160cm (4’7″-5’3″) trough

These are dense Griselinia littoralis instant hedging troughs. They have been trimmed to form an instant hedge. Just dig a trench approximately 50-60cm wide by 30-35cm deep. The top of the rootball should be about 1 or 2cm below the surface of the soil when planted. Break up the soil in the bottom of the trench to ensure it is not compacted. This allows any excess rain or water to drain and the roots to grow into the soil easily so is very important. Fill the trench back in with the soil and firm down the sides of the trench with your heel.  You can feed with our 12 month controlled release feed. We recommend a rate of 200g per trough.

These troughs are 1 metre long in 90 litre troughs and have been trimmed into a hedge.

Delivery within 1-5 working days, please choose your delivery date during the checkout process. For next working day delivery, please order before 10.30am.

We recommend planting 1 trough per metre (3’3″) for an instant hedge.  We recommend planting the trough as a whole. We do not recommend splitting the individual plants in the trough and planting them separately.

Please note: we measure height from the top of the compost in the trough to the top of the plant. Heights quoted will be the height of the plants on delivery. The eventual height of the hedge will depend on pruning.

Griselinia is a fantastic, evergreen hedging plants. It keeps its bright “Granny Smith” apple-green leaves all year round. It forms a dense hedge and can provide privacy from neighbours or screen off unslightly views and buildings.
