Create a lush green screen with our fast-growing Western Red Cedar (Thuja plicata) or use them as evergreen specimen trees. These premium, evergreen hedging plants arrive at a height of 2.1m to 2.4m.

Our plants are fully pot-grown in 10-litre pots. They have strong, established root systems and can be safely planted at any time of the year.

Planting & Spacing Guide

How many plants do I need? We recommend spacing your plants 60cm to 100cm apart:

• 60cm spacing: Gives you a full, dense hedge much quicker (requires more plants).

• 100cm spacing: Achieves the same great result over time at a lower cost (requires fewer plants).

How to plant:

1. Dig the hole: Aim for a hole 1.5 to 2 times the width of the rootball, and just as deep as the pot. We recommend a minimum square hole of 42cm wide by 25cm deep.

2. Prep the soil: Loosen the soil at the bottom of the hole to help the roots establish.

3. Feed: Mix a high-quality fertilizer into the soil before planting (we highly recommend our 12-month controlled-release fertiliser, available at checkout.

4. Planting level: Ensure the ground level matches the soil level of the pot.

5. Watering: Water thoroughly immediately after planting, and keep the plants well-watered throughout their first year or two.
