These are also called Prunus lusitanica ‘Angustifolia’ (also called ‘Myrtifolia’) or Portuguese Laurel.  They are currently between 200-220cm tall, not including the rootball (we measure from the top of the rootball to the tip of the plant).

These hedging plants are rootballed. This means they are dug straight from the field with a ball of soil around the roots.  The ball of soil is wrapped in hessian.  Rootballed plants can be planted as they are, there is no need to take the rootball wrapping off as it will biodegrade naturally.  For more information, see our blog “What are rootballed plants?”

Plant between 60cm and 100cm (2-3ft) apart depending on how quickly you want the hedge to form. See our hedging spacing calculator to help you work out how many you need.

Price includes VAT but not delivery.  We deliver using couriers to all parts of Great Britain including Scottish Island, the Isle of Wight and also to the Isle of Man. Unless you are reasonably local to us in Somerset, we put the plants on pallets or in pallet crates and ship them on Economy (2-3 working days) or Express (1-2 working days) delivery.  You can choose your delivery date during our checkout process.

See our delivery information page for details of delivery charges or add the items to your basket and click “Checkout” where you can get a delivery estimate by typing in your postcode.
