These plants are rootballed (see images), this means they are dug straight from the field with a ball of soil around the roots, this is then wrapped in hessian or jute. Rootballed plants can be planted as they are with the hessian/jute left on.
These are also called Prunus laurocerasus ‘Rotundifolia’, Common Laurel or Cherry Laurel.
These Laurels are fantastic and very bushy plants. All laurel hedges are evergreen (they keep their leaves all year round).
We recommend planting 60-90cm (2-3ft) apart depending on how quick you would like the plants to form a screen. Planting 2ft apart creates a quicker screen.
NB We measure height from the top of rootball to the top of the plant.
